A Great Sunday Read!
I read this story, and well, it just filled my heart with love. In case you're wondering, it's a story about a NASCAR driver, his Abuelita, and their family's journey to the USA. So go ahead, read it! It's really a good story.
My heart is a little sad. Today marks the last NASCAR race of the season. I'm not going to tell you who I'm cheering on. Or where my favorite driver currently sits in the standings. But it will be a sad 3 months until the Daytona 500. What am I supposed to do with my Sundays? It's been a while since I've had a free Sunday.
So go read Aric's story. I'm telling you, it's a good one. Me? I'm heading out. I have a 10K to run this morning. Wish me luck. I need it! I'm still fighting this cough/cold/flu. And my training has been hit and miss for the last 2 months. Happy Sunday! ♫

Can I Make One?
If you talked to anyone out there that knows me, and you ask them what one "Signature Style" item is, they'd tell you a scarf. Yes, I wear them daily. For at least 10 months a year!
I'm not picky. I'll wear the $5 scarves from Wal-Mart. The BOGO scarves from the Street Markets. Or, I'll make my own. Seriously, I'm not picky. I just like scarves.
my ever growing collection, well I think it says it all!
And now, I'm evolving. I'm really enjoying cowls. I found this picture while doing a Google search for a crochet scarf pattern. And I'm in LOVE! I'm going to try and make one. Make up my own pattern as I go. What do you think? Can I make one? Will it turn out OK? Will I use it? ♫

Gemma
I really do enjoy Gemma's videos. She has 3 YouTube Channels. One with her Beauty Videos, a Health Channel, and her Daily Vlogs. Gemma's Daily Vlogs are my favorite! She is just very entertaining to watch. What else can I say?
As far as her style, I really do enjoy it. That's why I watch her Beauty Channel. Because there are so many products that I've learned about. Like in this video, I just LOVE her scarf. It's my favorite!
Oh, and I really do like the British accent. This might be weird, but when I can't sleep, I put on one of these videos. Her voice puts me to sleep. Something that I'm grateful for. Especially when I only have 2 or 3 hours to sleep. But honestly, Gemma's videos are a lot of fun to watch! She also has a great blog! ♫

Christmas Crafts
This is what I'm working on. I bought this pattern a few years ago. I've managed to make a set for myself, Dr. S's wife, and my little 'Rella. But my Mom and I are going to be doing a Craft Fair soon. And it's all about Christmas Crafts. So I've decided to make a few of these. I just need to go and buy some little safety eyes. ♫

Thankful
The last few weeks, heck, the last few months have been tough. Crippling at times. I'm not going to lie. But tonight, I'm Thankful. And very grateful. My Goddaughter, My Lil' Southern Belle, she made it out of surgery. It's going to be a long road. A long road to recovery. But we're all going to make it.
I pray every single day. For her health, safety, and happiness. It means so much to me. Having so much faith in God, it makes my life so much more rewarding. I never feel alone. Because I have someone to depend on. Someone who is always here for me. I'm Thankful. God is the greatest!
And as I know, through experience from the hospital, this is going to be a long road. But I know, by having faith, we're all going to make it. My Lil' Southern Belle is going to make it. She's going to get healthy and strong. And one day, we'll get to run around together. Play in the playground. And snuggle up in bed together. I know this. Because I believe in God. ♫
Pretty Patchwork
This is the free pattern today from Free Crochet. It's simple. But beautiful. And it reminds me of Springtime. My favorite time of year. Did I mention my 2 favorite colors? Oh yes, this is definitely going on my Project Lists. I can't wait to make it! ♫

Lay Down
Not much more to say, than I am really enjoying this song at the moment. And you know what? I'm ALWAYS a sucker for good beats. I think all those years of sitting by the percussion, it really get to me. I could listen to this all day long! If only I could be that talented with some simple objects. ♫
Thanksgiving Cornucopia
I found this pattern at Free Crochet. I'm so excited! I'm definitely going to be making this. I want to use it to decorate the shelf in my dining room. And I'm probably going to make My 'Rella one too! She just loves toys like this. Oh, I just LOVE Fall!!! ♫

Abby Cababby
If you are a parent, or spend time with little ones, you'll know who Abby Cadabby is. She is one of the characters from Sesame Street. She is Mi Princesa's favorite character to be exact! And I'm trying to come up with some craft ideas. All based on Miss Abby Cadabby. Something to make for Halloween. And I'm coming up empty handed. Please leave me some suggestions. I could really use them... ♫

Yes We Can!!!
If you are frustrated with government and all that jazz, get up and vote. Yes, go vote! I don't belong to a party. I made that decision almost 9 years ago. I grew up in a "Democratic" state. And in a "Republican" home. Politics were always around me. Always! My parents liked to do things with their party. Like going door to door spreading the word about their politicians. Yes, I spent many, many days in political rallies and such.
But today, today is about voting. About getting out and making a change. Take a few minutes out and go vote. Yes, go vote! I did. And if I was able to vote, everyone should be able. Honestly, I sat in the corner and coughed the entire time I voted. Was so unattractive. But I HAD to vote!
I voted for people that I believe in. Some that I actually know personally. But people that have the same beliefs, morals, and values as me. I'm ready. Ready for change in my state and country. We'll find out tonight what's going to happen. But I'm hopeful. ♫

Fall Wreath
Since it's November 1st, I'm thinking about Fall. And Fall decorations. Yes, I'm sick as a dog! I can barely lift my head up. But this pattern is just screaming at me! It wants me to make it. It's from Free Crochet. Yes, I'm going to make it. As soon as I can sit upright. And you know, stop coughing. Happy November! ♫
