101 Christmas Recipes

I recently came across this cookbook. And I had to stop, and drool over it! :) Yes, I really did. The recipes look so delish! I saw it at the JoAnn. Unfortunately, I didn't pick it up. I should have! And now, it's out of stock. :(

Can you see the luck I've been having lately? It's ridiculous! But that's life. Right? I've been stalking my local stores. No lie! I really want the "101 Christmas Recipes" cookbook. I guess, I could always go online, and buy it.

Oh, maybe I can add this to my "Christmas Wishlist." That could work right? You know, if Santa brought me this cookbook, he'd get some of those yummy cookies! ♫

Ruffly Dresses

For the last 2 weeks, I've been trying to put in an order, with Old Navy. Yes, it's been a struggle. Left me wanting to just run away from my computer! It's some sort of issue with using a "VISA gift card." But I'm not giving up. One being, I have a $500 gift card to use! And I really want this dress...

Isn't she pretty? The minute I saw it, I wanted it! Yes, I did! The style, the color, everything about this dress makes me happy! Those ruffles, oh they are AMAZING!

Then I saw this blue one. Which I LOVE even more! But it's out of stock. Ugh! I wish they sold these in the stores. Or get a new stock. I really want this beautiful, blue dress. ♫

Craft Books

Am I the only one, that's been living under a rock? I didn't know that Mark Montano wrote a craft book. Check that, he wrote 2 craft books! And now I want them. Both of them!

Yes this book looks amazing! Those pillows on the bottom left, caught my eye. I'm not going to lie. They did. :) So did those dolls on the top left.

Everything about this second book, looks so fun! Do you think Santa reads my blog? I hope so! Craft books would be the perfect Christmas present! ♫

Gala Design

I recently found the Etsy shop, Gala Design. Oh my goodness! They have some of the most beautiful pieces of jewelry. I've never wanted every single item from an Etsy Shop before. But this shop, well, can I have one of each? PLEASE!

Here are some of my favorites. They're just gorgeous. And I'm already trying to figure out, just how to save all of my pennies. The pieces aren't ridiculously expensive. But for me, I'm going to have to do some saving up.

The Olivia Earrings. Perfect for casual days. Something I can throw on any old day. And still feel "put together."

The Rosalie Earrings are a fun set. With a nice "pop" of color. And the perfect amount of femininity.

Talk about fun! These Dandelion Earrings just make me smile. From the name, to the design, they're just fun!

The Ella Earrings, are simple and gorgeous! Who wouldn't want a pair of these? They also happen to remind me of my birthstone. Total bonus!

The last piece, well it's my favorite! The Harper Necklace. I'd treasure this piece. I just love the beautiful, and simple design. Something fun, and timeless.

What do you think? Aren't they just amazing? Maybe if I'm good, I'll get my favorite piece for Christmas. That doesn't seem too bad. Right? Oh, I'm off to go stare at the Shop page some more! ♫

Makes Me Smile

The moment I seen this necklace, I had a smile on my face! It is just the cutest thing ever. The pinwheel reminds me of my childhood. And summer. All those summer evenings that I spent with my Grandma S. Sitting in her porch. Playing with pinwheels.

You know the ones. You would buy them at the store for a dollar. They were made out of a very thin plastic-foil type of material. You'd play with them all summer, and then, you weren't quite sure what happened to them...

This necklace just reminds me of a time past. Filled with laughter and happiness. Now, I'll be saving up my pennies for this little gem. Oh, I just can't wait! ♫

Summer Dress

I missed the Old Navy dress sale. I'm pretty bummed out about that. Because, I've noticed something. I'm changing. Maybe I'm getting older. Or lazy. Or just more settled into my "personal style." But I'm in love with 2 things this Spring/Summer. Leggings with over sized t-shirts. And dresses.

Yes, this dress is pulling at my heart. I'm imaging all the fun we could have this summer. The comfort I could feel while wearing this cute dress. It looks so easy. But my purse strings, they're not as "easy" as my heartstrings.

So this beauty, will just have to go on my Wishlist. And I've got my fingers crossed. That it's clearanced before the end of summer. And that I find it in my size. Because we were made for each other... ♫

Yes, Please

Is it possible to fall in love with a dress? Because I think I have. Let's not get too dramatic here. But this is such a cute dress! Not something I'd usually go for. But I really do like it! The light blush color. The detail at the bust. And the fun polka dots. Maybe it just reminds me of warm summer nights. Happy Friday! ♫

My Love of Teal

The weather is getting hotter. Much hotter. I spent 1 night in my house this week, I wanted to die! 101 outside. 115, in my bedroom! That's with the windows open, fans on, and at 8PM. Lord, it's going to be a hot one!

But with the heat, comes my love of color. I've been so drawn to the color teal lately. Actually for the last few years. Especially in the warmer months. Why? I don't know. Maybe because it reminds me of a cool, and clear ocean.

I'd LOVE to add a few of these things to my closet. Or a nice flowy, summery dress. Heck, I'd even go for the nail polish. Anything that is just a little summery. You know, the weather knows it's summer. It's time for the rest of me to catch up! ♫

Polka Dot Fun!

How fun is this bathing suit? I don't know what is more fun. The polka dots. The style and cut. Or the vibrant red. If you know anything about me, know this, I don't swim. Because I don't know how. I don't wear bathing suits. Or shorts for that matter. But this suit, I would wear it! Happy Saturday! ♫

Blue

It's funny. When ballet flats became the "it shoe," I hated them! All of them. These days, it's either stilettos or ballet flats. Funny how things come full circle.

Well, I've been hunting for some fun shoes. Something bright. Full of "life." I'm thinking, I may have inherited the "shoe gene" from my Mom. :) But honestly, they just make me happy. Especially when much of my "work attire" is pretty boring. Pencil skirts, button up blouses, blazers...you know. Not that fun.

Then when I get to just hangout, I lean towards leggings and big shirts. Or jeans and t-shirts. So shoes, they're the "party and fun" part of my outfits. And honestly, I've been so inspired by all the Mexican Shoe Stores around here. Now, if only I could find the perfect blue shoes...♫

On My Wishlist...

I've always wanted a subscription to Crochet Today. Every issue is loaded with amazing patterns. And great articles. I know, I probably sound like the biggest nerd on earth! But I just love this magazine. Maybe one day, I'll be getting this magazine in my mailbox. Until then, you'll find me at the local library. Reading this beauty! ♫

Seeing Love...

Everything about this dress makes me smile. I don't know what it is. But I really do LOVE it! Everything. The silhouette. The color. And especially, the polka dots. Now, if I just had some extra money... ♫

Modcloth Love

Have you ever heard of Modcloth? It's the online store, that I'm in love with! No lie. I visit it multiple times a day. I think up ways to incorporate their clothes, into our shows. Just so I have a legitimate excuse to buy these gorgeous items!

Here are a few of my absolute favorite items. If only I could find them under the Christmas tree. Oh to dream...

By now, I'm pretty sure, most people know of my Scarf Obsession. This one is just so feminine. I love it!

And a fun hat. Seriously, it just makes me smile! And I can always use a hat, for those long walks to school and back.

But my favorite is this dress. It's just so girly. And yet, grown up. I like the richness of the color. And the fun details.

Isn't it fun to dream? If only I didn't have to pour all of my pennies into school. Maybe I could just buy one of these beauties! ♫

On My Wish List

Have you ever heard about the online shop, Love Stitched? If you haven't, you are surely missing out. Love Stitched has some of the most beautiful items. Accessories that I've been pining after for months!

Like this Rosette Necklace. I just like the "Shabby Chic" feel of it. The mix of materials and textures. It just makes me smile.

This Rosette Headband is another favorite of mine. There is something about the monochromatic feel of it. And the femininity of the headband. I'd love to wear this headband!

Lastly, there's this bead and Rosette Necklace. It's a bit funky. And a bit feminine. I just adore the mix of styles. Something that would definitely dress up my usual t-shirts.

Yes, I'm a HUGE fan of Love Stitched! I like that this shop stocks some unique and feminine accessories. Now if I just had some extra cash. I'd buy a couple of things. Just to add a bit of femininity and elegance to my rather plain wardrobe. ♫

Things I'm Missing This Weekend

This trip kind of came on a bad weekend. And there are a few things that I'm missing. And I wish I wasn't...

1. My parents are at the State Fair with the Model T. And I really wanted to go.

2. The FREE Dwight Yoakam concert. Need I say more?

3. The battle of I-10. One of the best games to go to.

But in all, this is going to be a fun weekend. Minus the somewhat boring concert last night. But whatever. Mi Princesa and My Lil' Cowgirl kept me entertained. And A kept me fed. What a good friend he is. :)

I figure, there will be other State Fairs. And I know my Dad will be in other Car Shows. I know there will be more "Battle of I-10" games. About the only thing that really depresses me is, missing the Dwight Yoakam concert. Silly me, I've had a big 'ol crush on him since I was a kid! ♫

IcyBag

I really need one of these IcyBags. Seriously, I need one! I live in the desert. I'm not even going to talk about the makeup meltdown I had last summer. Let's just say, 2 lipsticks, 1 cream eyeshadow pallet, and 1 cream blush later...well I had a HUGE mess! My makeup was melted together...all over my back seat. At least I have leather seats...

And this wasn't the first time that's happened. Yes, this particular time, I had left my car for 5 minutes. Yes, 5 minutes! The time before that, I was in high school. And I left 5-6 lipsticks in my car. Not sure what I was thinking. But it was just a big pink blob when I got back from practice.

But this is definitely something I want to buy soon. Yes, I live in the desert. It's ridiculously hot 10 months out of the year. No lie! But it would also be nice to have with me for gigs. Then I'd actually take makeup to touch up with. Now, I just put whatever on, and pray that 20 hours later, when I get home, that my makeup still looks decent. ♫

I Want These

Do I need these shoes? Probably not. But I'd really like to have them. I don't know what it is about them. I just really like them. And I mean these green shoes. Not the purple ones, that you'd think I'd like. But these green ones.

Now if I just had $44. Ugh! The joys of going to college and always being poor. I'd put these on my "Wishlist," for Christmas or whatever. But I highly doubt I'd get them. Who would buy me sneakers?

Oh well. A gal can wish. I honestly don't know why I like these shoes so much. But I just do. I seen a friend wearing them not too long ago. Well, the "Guy" version of them. These shoes are much more adorable! And what is with green and me lately? ♫

Little Dorrit

Last year, I watched Little Dorrit on PBS. Yes, I spent my summer, on Sunday nights, watching Little Dorrit. I read the book in high school. And I really enjoyed it.

I absolutely LOVED watching the movie. It was shown in 90 minute episodes. And was amazing! I would anxiously wait for Sunday nights. If I was working, I'd watch it online.

Then when it was over, I heard that the movie was being sold at Target. I really wanted it. But I never bought it. I have the book. But this movie, Little Dorrit, is on my "Wishlist." That is how much I LOVED watching it!!! ♫

Oh Laundry

I really need to do laundry. Like desperately need to do laundry! I'm leaving tomorrow. I'm going to go visit my parents and my grandparents for the holiday. But I've been slacking on the laundry.

Why? Because both my washer and dryer are broken. Heck, they came with my house. But honestly, they're both older than I am. And well, I can't afford new ones. So for the last year, I've trekked my laundry to the Laundromat, or to J's house. He travels a lot too. So when I'm doing paperwork, I also tackle my laundry.

But the last month, well it's been busy. And I have a lot of clothes. You know, I've got a bunch of socks...even if they have holes in them. And a crap load of underwear. To be honest, I've been living in scrubs for the last month. And that's 1 quick load of laundry. So the rest, well I've just been shoving it in my hamper. But I need to find some time to do it. I might just go to J's house. I know he's already on his way to TX.

Honestly, I would love to have a laundry room like the one in this picture. I have a large laundry room. But it just doesn't work. Mostly because my washer and dryer don't work. But I have HUGE cabinets and everything. I just need to make it function.

So that's on my "To-Do List." I really want to to a few projects in there. Like make a curtain for the window. Maybe put up some shelves. And finally hang those pictures I bought. Now I just need to make the time. You know, to decorate my laundry room. And to do my laundry! ♫
